"This is amazing for single day hikes in the hills and rambling about, I've even done a river crossing with this bag on my back."
Tom

Expedition Proven. Everyday ready.

The Aonyx 25 was Ed Pratt's primary bag on his Source to Sea River Thames challenge — a 19-day endurance expedition documented to millions on YouTube. Used daily in wet, demanding conditions throughout the journey, it protected essential kit without fail.

If it holds up on a 19-day river expedition, it'll handle your commute.

Watch the series on YouTube.

Built for the kind of weather that ruins ordinary backpacks.
The Aonyx 25 is a fully welded waterproof backpack designed for daily outdoor use in unpredictable conditions. Its 25-litre main compartment keeps your essentials dry in sustained heavy rain, muddy trails and year-round British weather.

Roll-top closure. Reliable seal.
The roll-top design provides a clean, reliable waterproof seal with no zips to fail and no weak points to leak. Roll down twice, clip across, and your kit is protected — whatever the weather.

Organised for everyday carry.
An internal padded laptop sleeve fits devices up to 13". Comfortable enough for the commute, practical enough for a full day in the hills.

Comfortable for longer wear.
Padded shoulder straps with D-ring attachment points, a sternum strap with emergency whistle and a padded foam back panel with airflow channel make the Aonyx 25 comfortable across longer days and heavier loads.

Flexible external storage.
A water-resistant front zip pocket keeps smaller essentials accessible. Two exterior bottle pockets, elasticated front webbing, compression straps and reflective detailing round out a bag built for real use in real conditions.

Choosing between the Aonyx 25 and Caiman 40?
The Aonyx 25 is designed for everyday waterproof carry — commuting, day hikes, dog walks and travel where laptop protection matter.

If you need expedition-grade durability, more external gear carry and performance in prolonged, exposed conditions, the Caiman 40 is the better choice.

    Monsoon Tested at Mont Blanc

Bought two 60L waterproof duffels for our trip through France and Italy. We drove down to Mont Blanc with
both bags strapped onto the luggage rack. Went through a monsoon on first day down to Mont Blanc and the bags were fantastic. Everything inside bone dry.

The main body of the backpack is made from a PVC tarpaulin material, which is completely waterproof. Rather than using traditional stitched seams the Aonyx has welded joins which effectively make it seamless to the roll top.

No we don't recommend full submersion of this backpack as it is a roll top and has no zip seal.

No, it's only water resistant.
